Short biography

Pruine writes at the edge of departures, in corridors, night trains and still-lit kitchens. His French songwriting makes room for silences, fragile connections and the details that keep the world from passing too quickly.

Full biography

A French singer-songwriter based in Paris, Pruine turns ordinary gestures into sensitive songs. His lyrics explore fragile connections, absences, places we pass through and everything objects silently retain from us.

His music moves with few effects and plenty of space: a close voice, piano, discreet electronic textures and melodies that take their time. The North is less a destination than a kind of light, clear, calm and sometimes almost white.

The writing is contemporary yet deeply human. Screens, intercoms and messages are part of its everyday scenery. At the centre are always people still trying to understand one another and to stay close.
